A. Gonçalves da Guia nasceu na Ponta do Sol, Madeira, Portugal.
Concluiu o 7°
ano do liceu em Historia/Filosóficas e o Curso de Educadora
e Professora de Infância. No Verão de 1996 tirou
um curso de tradutora na Universidade de Lisboa. Chegou aos States
a 31 de Abril de 1973. É casada e tem dois filhos, John
e Gina. Gosta de ler, estudar, nadar, história, arte, dançar
e escrever.

Higina A. Gonçalves
da Guia was born in Ponta do Sol, Madeira, Portugal . She finished
high school and her kindergaten teaching credentials in Portugal.
Higina came to the U.S.A. in 1973. In the summer of 1996, she
took a language translation course at the University of Lisbon.
She has an AA degree from Mission College and plans to transfer
to Sacramento State University in the near future. She is married
and has two children, John and Gina. Her interests include reading,
studying, swimming, dancing, art appreciation & history, and
writing.
